Job summary

Qualifications

Job description

Responsibilities

1. Provide leadership and technical expertise within quality engineering organization
2. Define & incorporate best practices of the security testing and performance engineering
3. Develop automation roadmap across agile teams
4. Automation framework design and implementation
5. Analyze and improve the existing frameworks and recommend right tools and frameworks
6. Test automation and optimization solution aims at disrupting inefficient and old-world QA procedures by providing tools, solutions and frameworks that works across domains
7. Enable agile teams to perform continuous testing, work to measure and improve any inefficiency in CI/CD pipelines
8. Integrate performance & security with automation framework
9. Knowledge Management/Retention - Cross training & documentation
10. Help hire/build strong quality engineering teams
11. Mentoring and training quality engineers & leads
12. Building key test infrastructure that allows them to capture data, analyze it and provide guidance to their teams around perceived risks and a mitigation strategy
13. Provide inputs to define quality standards as well as enforcing technical and testing standards
14. Define/improve quality & performance engineering process, KPIs & metrics
15. Conduct reviews and ensure process compliance
16. Publish quality & performance engineering KPIs & metrics
17. Partner with engineering teams to propose, rollout process improvements, new technologies and automation practices
18. Work both independently and in close collaboration with platform & application teams and across the business to drive automation & bring efficiencies
19. Onsite - Offshore co-ordination, as required

Requirements

1. B.S degree or higher in computer science or related education
2. 5+ yrs. of experience in software engineering - QE testing on various platforms
3. 3+ yrs. of experience in software engineering - QE automation
4. 3+ yrs. of experience in software engineering – Performance testing
5. 2+ yrs. of experience in software engineering – Security testing
6. Must be proficient in Java
7. Must have experience implementing automation frameworks – (Selenium WebDriver/ webDriver IO/ Appium/TestNG/Junit)
8. Must have experience with performance testing tools to measure server & client-side metrics( Jmeter/K6/Speedcurve)
9. Must have experience implementing API frameworks – Rest Assured Framework /Pactumjs
10. Must have experience setting up and managing test automation infrastructure (Appium/Selenium grid)
11. Must have experience using Version control (GIT), SQL, CI/CD Tools (Jenkins), Build Tools (Maven, ANT, etc), Debugging Tools (Charles/Fiddler), Monitoring tools (New Relic/Datadog), Agile Management Tool (JIRA), Test Management Tool (TestRail)
12. Any certification related to QE/Process/Automation/Performance Test/Security
13. Nice to have knowledge/experience on NodeJS/JavaScript/TypeScript.
