Job summary

Astrion seeks a Buyer/Purchaser (ECE Support) at Redstone Arsenal, AL. The role supports multiple divisions, expediting purchases and maintaining CPSR-compliant records.

You will prepare RFQs, analyze bids, and negotiate terms for mechanical and electronic parts used in test instrumentation and development. The position requires 2+ years in procurement, strong Excel skills, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of procurement or purchasing experience in mechanical/electronic parts for test instrumentation, development, and manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of MS Windows OS and MS Office, including Excel; at least 1 year computing with Microsoft software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and manage changing work efforts.
• Strong organizational and workflow skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen able to obtain/maintain Secret clearance.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• High School Diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of an enterprise team supporting multiple divisions and customers.
• Execute, track, and expedite purchase orders and small-dollar purchases.
• Maintain documentation per company policies and CPSR requirements.
• Support multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
• Prepare RFQs and evaluate responses.
• Track procurement progression and status.
• Negotiate pricing and contract terms.
• Conduct market research and document findings.
• Prepare price analysis Justifications.
• Review non-competitive or sole-source justifications per CPSR.
• Validate justifications, requirements, funding, and budget.
• Communicate with requestors, engineering teams, customers, and suppliers.
• Maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
