Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical and investment subject-matter expert throughout the sales process
• Partner with sales teams to engage asset managers, asset owners, hedge funds and other institutional investors
• Conduct product demonstrations and presentations for investment and risk professionals
• Understand client portfolio construction, risk management, asset allocation and investment analytics workflows
• Translate complex client requirements into practical technology and analytics solutions
• Support sales opportunities from initial discovery through technical evaluation and implementation discussions
• Work closely with portfolio managers, risk professionals, quantitative teams and other investment stakeholders
• Partner internally with sales, product, research and technology teams

We are partnered with a leading global financial data, analytics and technology firm seeking an experienced investment professional to join its Cross-Asset Solutions team in New York.

This is a highly client-facing role sitting at the intersection of investments, technology and sales. The individual will partner closely with sales teams and institutional clients to understand complex investment workflows and demonstrate how portfolio analytics, risk and investment technology solutions can address those needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical and investment subject-matter expert throughout the sales process
• Partner with sales teams to engage asset managers, asset owners, hedge funds and other institutional investors
• Conduct product demonstrations and presentations for investment and risk professionals
• Understand client portfolio construction, risk management, asset allocation and investment analytics workflows
• Translate complex client requirements into practical technology and analytics solutions
• Support sales opportunities from initial discovery through technical evaluation and implementation discussions
• Work closely with portfolio managers, risk professionals, quantitative teams and other investment stakeholders
• Partner internally with sales, product, research and technology teams
• Provide market and client feedback to help influence product development and commercial strategy

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of multi-asset investing, portfolio analytics, portfolio construction and/or investment risk
• Experience with institutional investment analytics or portfolio management technology
• Prior experience in solutions consulting, technical pre-sales, investment consulting, product specialist or another client-facing investment role
• Ability to explain complex investment concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong presentation and client-management skills
• Familiarity with institutional asset managers and asset owners
• Experience working with portfolio analytics, risk or investment management platforms is strongly preferred
