We're looking for a Technical Operations Specialist to be the backbone of our control room operations in Atlanta. In this role, you'll use your hands‑on expertise to keep our broadcasts running smoothly, troubleshoot on the fly, and ensure every technical element comes together seamlessly for our viewers.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Provide technical support for remote guests using various video conferencing platforms
  • Provide support in managing incoming signals from the field
  • Organize and ingest video from field crews and affiliates for editorial use
  • Act as the primary technical support for operations for control room and studio for specified times
  • Work with network engineering and operations to ensure needs are met in control room and studio
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • Associates degree in related discipline or equivalent years of experience preferred
  • Specialized training/certification may be required
  • Generally, 5+ years of experience in related field preferred
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
  • Must work well under the pressure of a live broadcast
  • Must be able to make quick decisions and give accurate instructions
  • Ability to solve problems under pressure and apply hands‑on knowledge to do so
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues over the phone with remote guests
  • Possess excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Must understand the entire scope of needs in the studio and control room
  • Good knowledge of IT applications in relation to television broadcast equipment
  • Flexible work hours are required, including weekends, holidays, and possible overtime hours
