Job summary

The E.W. Scripps Company in Atlanta is seeking a Technical Operations Specialist to be the backbone of our control room operations. You will troubleshoot on the fly, ensure all technical elements come together for viewers, and provide hands-on support for broadcasts in a fast-paced environment.

Experience in live broadcast tech, ability to make quick decisions under pressure, and strong organizational and communication skills are essential. On-site role with weekend/holiday shifts expected.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of related field experience preferred.
  • Specialized training/certification may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for remote guests using video conferencing platforms.
  • Manage incoming signals from the field.
  • Organize and ingest video from field crews and affiliates for editorial use.
  • Provide primary technical support for control room and studio operations during assigned shifts.
