Job summary

BD is seeking a Technical Operator for Sterilization in Tucson, AZ to operate and maintain sterilization equipment for medical devices. You will manage conveyor systems, load and unload materials, and ensure accurate cycle documentation.

You will work with QA and Maintenance to resolve issues, follow safety guidelines, and support continuous improvement while keeping a clean, compliant work area on site.

• Basic skills training in an analytical/scientific method or operational process.
• Ability to read, write, interpret and comprehend documents, and perform basic math.
• Ability to operate in a metrics-driven environment.
• General computer skills.
• Works independently with minimal guidance.
• Effective communication skills at a coworker level.
• Minimal required supervision.
• Set priorities among multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate sterilization equipment according to validated procedures.
• Track products around conveyors and the Sterilization Room to unjam boxes or trays.
• Load products onto conveyors and manipulate the interface of the HMI.
• Unwrap material prior to sterilization cycle.
• Load/unload product manually on the line when running.
• Monitor and document sterilization cycles, parameters and outcomes.
• Perform routine equipment checks, cleaning and minor maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization batches and logs.
• Collaborate with QA and Maintenance to resolve issues.
• Identify and report deviations or equipment malfunctions promptly.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in sterilization processes.
• Maintain clean working area.
• Follow safety guidelines and wear PPE.
• Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.

Job Summary:
