Job summary

Viant Medical is seeking a 1st shift manufacturing associate to assemble components and inspect parts to exact tolerances. You will operate packaging and light fabrication equipment while following GMPs and SOPs to meet quality standards.

The role emphasizes accuracy, safety and teamwork in a cleanroom-like environment. Ideal candidates have a High School diploma and related manufacturing exposure, with strong math, reading of specs, and basic tool handling.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; 1 year external manufacturing experience preferred.
• Must read and understand specification sheets and tolerances.
• Ability to use measuring devices and hand tools with precision.

Responsibilities

• Follows GMPs and SOPs to ensure FDA and ISO quality standards.
• Assembles components and inspects items with tight tolerances.
• Operates packaging, laser, or resistance welding equipment as needed.
• Maintains assembly processes with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Supports 5S practices and safe work procedures at all times.
• Works collaboratively with supervision and support staff.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) & Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) as defined by Viant policies, practices & procedures to insure that FDA & ISO regulations & quality standards are met
• Assembles components
• May be required to operate packaging machine
• Performs Bar sealing/Tray sealing duties
• Performs pad printing duties
• Assembles & inspects components with tight tolerances, complex & miniature geometry
• Operates Laser and resistance welding equipment
• Inspects & assembles components under magnification
• Uses advanced dexterity required to work with very/small miniature components & equipment
• Performs equipment intensive assembly processes, makes adjustments if required & authorized by procedures
• Retains complex assembly process instructions once taught, does not require frequent retraining
• Follows all safe­ty procedures as required by internal & external guidelines and pol­icies
• Maintain & follow 5s principles in all work areas at all times
• Participate in rapid movement events
• Performs other duties as assigned

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge/Education

• High School diploma & equivalent certification preferred

Job Experience

• One year external manufacturing work experience

Skills/Competencies

• Ability to read, understand & follow specification sheets
• Basic mathematical skills to understand tolerances & variation
• Ability to use measuring devices & hand tools
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Basic understanding of hand tools (Allen wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.)
• Detail oriented, self‑motivated & organized
• Ability to clearly communicate any concerns or issues back to support staff verbally & written

Physical Requirements

• Frequent bending/ lifting, twisting, standing & significant use of hands
