Job summary

Shearer’s Foods, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager Technical Operations to lead maintenance and engineering at our Iowa site, driving asset reliability, CAPEX execution, and safety excellence.

You will work directly with the plant director and regional leaders to improve maintenance KPIs and capital project outcomes. The role requires extensive experience in food manufacturing, CMMS usage, and a track record of safe, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering or related field with nine years of relevant industry experience; GMP-regulated food experience preferred
• Proven maintenance leadership experience in a regulated food manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated people-management experience and team development
• Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations (GMP) and quality standards
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and resolve complex operational issues in a fast-paced environment
• Cross-functional collaboration with quality, safety, and manufacturing teams
• Experience with CMMS and building management systems used in industrial settings
• Experience developing and managing capital programs

Responsibilities

• Lead site maintenance strategy to reduce unplanned downtime and improve asset reliability
• Provide engineering leadership and CAPEX execution for the site
• Direct maintenance and engineering teams, coordinating with plant director and regional leaders
• Own maintenance management system data, master data quality, and spare-parts programs
• Partner with engineering teams and vendors to implement best practices and service strategies
