Job summary

SAIC has an immediate opening for a Technical Operations Officer to support mission-critical operations worldwide. The role involves planning, executing, and managing advanced technical and operational support programs, interfacing with engineering teams, and leading multidisciplinary staff in high-pressure environments.

You will work on deploying personnel, satellite communications, and field equipment in diverse settings, with travel 10-25% CONUS/OCONUS.

Qualifications

• Must currently hold a TS/SCI and Poly clearance.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Technical Operations, including foreign field operations and mission-critical deployments.

Responsibilities

• Plan, configure, and execute highly technical and sensitive operations in support of national security objectives.
• Interface between operational and engineering development teams to translate technical requirements and align with mission-critical goals.
• Conduct field-based activities such as technical deployments, equipment setup, and operational troubleshooting in overseas and austere environments.
• Lead and mentor technical and operational teams, providing strategic direction and professional development.
• Leverage customer and partner technical assets to conduct unilateral and joint intelligence operations against high-value targets.
• Develop innovative approaches to enhance technical capabilities, including satellite communications, low-power systems, and signal collection technologies.
• Deliver technical solutions and training for deploying personnel and other stakeholders as mission needs evolve.
• Develop and maintain robust documentation and reporting on operational processes and mission outcomes.

The successful candidate will play a key role in planning, executing, and managing cutting-edge technical and operational support programs to solve complex global challenges. This position demands a proactive professional who can excel in high-pressure environments, integrate technical expertise into operational processes, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Must currently hold a TS/SCI and Poly in order to be considered for this position
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Technical Operations, including foreign field operations and mission-critical deployments
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, cyber, computer science, or a related technical field is preferred but experience can be substituted for the degree
• Expert knowledge of technical tradecraft, emerging technologies, and field-operable technical systems such as low-power, satellite, and broadband communication technologies
• Proven leadership experience as a mentor, branch chief, or technical lead managing multidisciplinary teams conducting technical and operational projects
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills when dealing with cross-functional projects within technical and operational domains
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and apply innovative solutions in ambiguous and high-stakes environments
• Experience briefing senior-level management and providing strategic recommendations to achieve mission outcomes
• Ability to travel 10-25% of the time, CONUS and OCONUS

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in establishing and managing technical programs in diverse geographies, including South Asia, Europe, and the Near East
• Hands-on expertise in deploying and tasking an array of technical solutions in support of classified operations
• Advanced technical certifications are a plus
  

Target salary range: $200,001 - $240,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
