Role Overview

The Data Analyst will oversee the design, development, and maintenance of data infrastructure, pipelines, and systems. This involves managing a team of data engineers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring data integrity, scalability, and efficiency to support business and analytical needs. The role also focuses on establishing data management best practices, driving automation, and ensuring high-quality data for decision-making.

What You'll Do
Leadership and Team Management
  • Lead, mentor, and manage data engineers and operations analysts, uniting two teams: Data Engineering and Operations Analysts.
  • Set team goals, prioritize tasks, and manage workloads to meet deadlines and objectives.
  • Provide technical guidance, foster innovation, and support career development.
  • Conduct performance reviews and give constructive feedback.
Data Architecture and Infrastructure
  • Design and implement scalable, secure data pipelines for acquisition, processing, and storage.
  • Maintain data models, warehouses, and lakes for BI and analytics.
  • Ensure infrastructure performance, scalability, and security; evaluate re-architecture opportunities.
  • Implement data governance, quality, and security best practices.
  • Set up data monitoring and alerting systems.
  • Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes; automate workflows.
  • Ensure data accuracy through cleansing and transformation; incorporate machine learning models where applicable.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
  • Work with engineering, product, and operations teams to integrate data systems.
  • Provide insights and reports for strategic decisions.
  • Translate business needs into technical data solutions, acting as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams.
Minimum Requirements
  • 2-4 years in data science, analytics, consulting, investment banking, or operations at a fast-paced SaaS company.
  • Strong experience in data analysis, SQL, and Excel; SQL assessment included in interview.
  • Experience building data pipelines, analytics infrastructure, and reporting layers.
  • Leadership of remote teams contributing to data/analytics projects.
  • Ability to serve as the primary contact for internal analytics and tools.
  • Cross-functional collaboration skills with Product, Engineering, and Ops teams.
  • Proficiency in documenting and developing operational best practices.
  • Drive, curiosity, attention to detail, and a successful track record.
  • Comfort working autonomously in ambiguous environments, prioritizing effectively.
  • Customer-focused mindset, committed to solving client problems.
  • Proficiency in Retool; G-Suite knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience in AI Scribe or similar space is a plus.
