The Role

Our Tech Ops team seeks an engineer passionate about rollups. Your mission is to transform a customer’s idea for a new L2 or app-chain—from concept to live, monitored, and auto-healing deployment with 99.99%+ uptime. You will design, launch, and operate rollups across major stacks, integrate data-availability layers, enhance key management, and ensure reliable operation at scale. What You'll Do
  • End-to-End Rollup Deployments:
    • Design and manage Helm/Kubernetes manifests, Terraform modules, and Ansible playbooks for supporting services.
    • Integrate data availability layers like Celestia, Avail, EigenDA, and AnyTrust.
  • Chain Upgrades & Post-Launch Ops:
    • Maintain production rollups through updates and emergency fixes, meeting 4x9 SLOs.
    • Create runbooks, automate health checks, and develop tooling for rapid deployment.
  • Monitoring & Incident Response:
    • Build dashboards, tune alerts, and integrate with PagerDuty.
    • Lead incident analysis and post-mortems.
  • Foundation & Customer Collaboration:
    • Debug protocol issues with ecosystem developers and contribute to open-source fixes.
    • Translate requirements into technical infrastructure specifications.
  • Security & Key Management:
    • Operate workflows with HSMs or Vault for key security.
    • Implement network and firewall security policies.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Benchmark performance, optimize costs, and automate processes.
  • On-Call Rotation:
    • Participate in a global on-call schedule for 24/7 coverage.
What You'll Bring
  • Proven Experience:
    • 5+ years in SRE/DevOps/Tech Ops, with at least 1 year deploying or operating rollup chains.
    • Deep Linux knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
  • Rollup & Smart-Contract Expertise:
    • Understanding of sequencer pipelines, proofs, and messaging.
    • Experience deploying and verifying smart contracts and configuring chain parameters.
  • Kubernetes & IaC Mastery:
    • Proficiency with Helm, Kustomize, Terraform, Ansible, Docker.
  • Observability & Reliability:
    • Skills with Grafana, Prometheus, alerting, and incident analysis.
  • Data & Services:
    • Experience with Postgres, Redis, and rollup indexers; capable of building REST/gRPC services in Go/TypeScript/Python.
  • Security Mindset:
    • Experience with Vault, HSMs, KMS, and secure workflows.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Clear communicator, fast learner, action-oriented, disciplined.
Bonus
  • Contributions to L2/rollup client, DA layer, or bridge projects.

The US salary range is $150,480 - $167,200 with a level P3 designation. International salary discussions will occur during hiring. The role includes a quarterly bonus based on performance.
