Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking a full-time Technical Mentor / Engineering Tutor to guide and upskill early- and mid-career developers. You will deliver one-on-one and small-group tutoring, lead live workshops, design practical curriculum and exercises, perform code reviews and debugging sessions, and help learners build production-quality projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience or equivalent mentoring.
• Proven tutoring or mentoring experience with diverse learners.
• Strong coding skills in Python and Django; Ruby and Ruby on Rails experience.
• Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS; front-end and full-stack app experience.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful and GraphQL APIs; cloud deployment (AWS).
• Familiarity with AI concepts and integrating AI services into applications.
• Solid debugging and testing practices including unit/integration/regression tests.
• Degree in CS or related field preferred but not required; equivalent industry experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and group tutoring sessions on core engineering topics.
• Design and maintain hands-on curriculum, labs, and assessments.
• Lead live workshops, code reviews, pair-programming sessions, and technical Q&A hours.
• Teach and mentor on Python, Django, Ruby on Rails, Ruby, JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
• Guide students through integrating with APIs and deploying services on AWS.
• Instruct on AI concepts and practical use of AI APIs.
• Lead testing strategies including unit, integration, and regression testing; teach TDD.
• Create and maintain reference materials, example projects, templates, and automated grading scripts.
• Track learner progress and provide constructive feedback to improve outcomes.
• Diagnose and help resolve real-world engineering problems in student projects.
