Job summary

KSLA-TV/Gray Media in Shreveport, LA is seeking a Technical Media Producer to support automated live newscasts and commercial insertion systems. The role requires hands-on experience with live broadcasts and master control automation, with additional value for Spanish language skills.

The TMP will work with systems from AP ENPS, Ross Overdrive, Digital Broadcast, VizRT, and BitCentral, and coordinate with remote camera setups. Weekend coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• The applicant should have live newscast experience as well as master control commercial automation experience.
• Great communication skills and problem-solving abilities under pressure. The ability to read/write/communicate in Spanish is a plus
• Experience in the use of vendor systems: AP ENPS, Ross Overdrive, Digital Broadcast, VizRT, BitCentral, and remote camera systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support for automated live newscasts and automated commercial insertion systems across four networks.
• Familiarity with Ross Overdrive newscast automation.
• Familiarity with Digital Broadcast automation systems.
• Support weekend work schedules and fill-in coverage as needed by TMP Supervisor.

Job Summary/Description:

The Technical Media Producer (TMP) will provide direct support for automated live newscasts and automated commercial insertion systems across four different networks provided to over-the-air broadcasts.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Should be familiar with Ross Overdrive newscast automation
• Should be familiar with commercial automation systems (Digital Broadcast in use here)
• Should be familiar with EAS operations logging and FCC compliance, as well as monitoring/management of commercial logs
• Should be available to work weekends and/or fill in for vacations as requested by the TMP Supervisor
