Job summary

WLFI is seeking a part-time Technical Media Producer/Master Control Operator to join the state-of-the-art control room in West Lafayette, IN. You will manage live and recorded local news content on air and streaming, monitor on-air signals, and ingest daily programming, commercials, and promos.

Responsibilities include CBS/CW playout, operating Ross Overdrive, and assisting in graphics, commercial shoots, and live events while supporting flexible shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Flexible schedule with shifts including weekends, days and evenings, plus some holidays.
• Live newscast/production work is a plus.
• Demonstrated calmness and communication under tight deadlines and high-pressure situations.

Job Summary/Description:

WLFI is looking for a part-time TMP. You would be hands-on in our state-of-the-art control room. You will be responsible for live and recorded local news content on the air and streaming on our website daily. You'll also be responsible for managing and monitoring our on-air signals and ingesting daily programming, commercials, and promos.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for playout for CBS and CW feeds
• Operating Ross Overdrive during live and recorded news segments as well as breaking news events
• Will need to assist news in creating graphics for newscasts
• May assist in commercial production shoots
• May assist in live event productions
• May be needed to fill in on alternate shifts

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Flexible schedule (shifts include weekends, days and evenings, and some holidays)
• Live newscast/production work is a plus
• Excellent communicator and problem solver
• Experience with Ross Overdrive, ENPS, Adobe Creative Suite
• Must be calm and composed under tight deadlines and high-pressure situations
• Detail-oriented and organized
• On-the-job training is provided
• Background check
