Job summary

KAIT, Gray Media's ABC, NBC, CW affiliate, has an immediate opening for a Technical Media Producer. The TMP operates the broadcast control center equipment to keep programming on-air and online, directing live or pre-recorded productions using the Ross Overdrive system and handling all master control duties.

Duties include monitoring signal quality, complying with FCC regulations, and preparing rundowns for automation.

Qualifications

• 2 years of broadcast/production experience preferred; training provided.
• Ross Overdrive experience is a plus.
• Ability to learn new concepts quickly and thoroughly.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Willing to work holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and quality control all inbound and outbound/broadcast signals and online streams.
• Ensure content airs as intended and logged.
• Direct live or pre-recorded productions using Ross Overdrive production automation.
• Prepare production rundowns for automation operation by coding the rundown in AP ENPS / Ross Overdrive plugin.
• Understand equipment in the studio, production, and technical core areas.
