Job summary

Emerson’s Test & Measurement business unit is seeking a Technical Marketing and Business Management Intern. You will support bringing software, data, and AI products to market through research, positioning, demonstrations, and go-to-market activities.

You will collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales to turn innovations into customer value and business impact, contributing on real projects that matter to customers and the company.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication for technical audiences.
• Ability to move between technical conversations and business discussions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with internal teams to understand customer challenges and opportunities for NI’s hardware, software, and AI products.
• Support product positioning, demonstrations, launch content, and sales enablement for AI products.
• Research markets, competitors, and industry trends to inform decisions.
• Create engaging technical materials such as demonstrations, presentations, videos, white papers, and web content.
• Translate complex technical capabilities into clear customer value.
• Analyze customer, product, and business data to identify trends and actions.

As a Technical Marketing and Business Management Intern, you will help bring our software, data, and AI products to market. You will work on real projects involving market research, business analysis, product positioning, technical demonstrations, and go-to-market execution.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Partnering with internal teams to understand customer challenges and identify opportunities for NI’s hardware, software, and AI products.
• Helping bring AI products to market by supporting product positioning, demonstrations, launch content, and sales enablement.
• Researching markets, competitors, and industry trends to inform business and go-to-market decisions.
• Creating engaging technical materials such as demonstrations, presentations, videos, white papers, and web content.
• Translating complex technical capabilities into clear customer value.
• Analyzing customer, product, and business data to identify trends and recommend actions.
• Gaining hands‑on experience with NI’s technology and contribute to projects that make a real impact on customers and the business.
• Depending on team needs and your interests, your summer project may prioritize any of the above responsibilities as a focus area

For This Role, You Will Need:

• To be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
• The ability to move between technical conversations with engineers, strategic discussions with business stakeholders, and communicating complex ideas clearly in writing and in person
• Strong communication skills: Experience with technical writing, demonstrations, or presentations for different audiences.
• A passion for communicating complex technical concepts in a clear, engaging way.
• Legal Authorization to work in the United States – sponsorship will not be provided for this role
