Job summary

Toyota Racing Development (TRD) seeks an experienced Manual Machine Shop Technician to produce precision parts. You will work from engineering drawings and collaborate with planners and engineers to ensure components meet exact specifications.

Responsibilities include operating manual lathes and mills, selecting tooling, inspecting parts with precision gauges, and maintaining a safe, organized work environment. A minimum of 5 years’ manual machining experience is required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 5 years of manual machining or tool room experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of manual machining practices.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, height gauges, bore gauges.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Plan machining operations and determine the most efficient manufacturing process.
  • Measure and mark materials for cutting and shaping.
  • Operate manual lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other shop equipment.
  • Select appropriate tooling, cutting conditions, and machining methods.
  • Create and maintain machining programs when required.
  • Design and manufacture fixtures, jigs, and tooling needed to produce parts.
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment.
  • Coordinate with Quality Control for final inspections and approvals.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Manual Machine Shop Technician

Are you an experienced Manual Machinist who takes pride in precision, craftsmanship, and producing high-quality components? We are seeking a skilled Manual Machine Shop Technician to join Toyota Racing Development (TRD). What You’ll Do

As a Manual Machine Shop Technician, you'll be responsible for manufacturing precision parts and tooling using manual machining equipment. You'll work from engineering drawings, collaborate with planners and engineers, and ensure all finished components meet exact specifications.
