Job Description

• Lead technical linear infrastructure designs and prepare contract documents for municipal and industrial clients, including planning, execution, and close‑out.
• Assist in developing design concepts, criteria, analysis and design methodologies, alternative design evaluations, and constructability reviews.
• Prepare detailed design calculations, engineering computation/technical reports, construction plans and specifications for projects of medium to high complexity; conduct QA/QC and value‑engineering reviews.
• Provide bid‑phase and construction‑phase services.
• Support business‑development by creating proposals, estimating, and planning.
• Coordinate and mentor technical staff, overseeing project teams in collaboration with Project Managers and People‑management colleagues.
• Engage in technical societies and associations to stay current with engineering standards, practices, and emerging technologies.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering.
• 8+ years of technical experience in water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure design, including gravity pipeline, pressure pipeline, and trenchless rehabilitation projects.
• Proficiency in federal, state, and local environmental regulations applicable to municipal and industrial clients.
• Knowledge of major national and industrial engineering design codes, standards, guidelines, and best practices for complex structures and projects.
• PE license in VA, DC, and/or MD required with the ability to obtain additional licenses through reciprocity.

Benefits

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000 per year. Compensation varies by location, skill, experience, education, and internal equity.
