Job summary

Soft Tech Consulting seeks a technically adept Management Consultant to support the CTO for a key government client. This role is 100% onsite in Arlington, VA, requiring an active SECRET clearance and the ability to coordinate across senior leaders.

You will drive strategic initiatives, optimize business processes with RPA, and ensure on-time delivery within scope and DoD-aligned goals. The position demands a strong PM background, expert data visualization skills (Power BI/Tableau), and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in technical project management or management consulting, preferably in federal or military environments.
• Proven hands-on experience with Power BI and/or Tableau to create executive-ready dashboards.
• Working knowledge of business process automation (RPA) tools and methodologies.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to present complex technical concepts to senior leadership and external partners.
• Analytical, computer, math and problem-solving skills; able to explain software implications.
• Strong organizational skills with a track record of delivering projects from initiation to closure.

• Coordinate high-level strategic engagements and track critical deliverables from external partners.

Soft Tech Consulting is seeking a highly motivated, analytical, and self-directed Technical Management Consultant to provide critical mission support directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for a key government client. Operating in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, the selected candidate will drive strategic engagements, manage business process optimization initiatives, and deliver high-impact technical project management. The ideal candidate bridges the gap between technical execution and executive-level communication, ensuring complex initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic DoD goals.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key advisor to the CTO by researching, drafting, and developing strategic policy documents, technical briefs, and executive communications.
• Coordinate high-level strategic engagements and track critical deliverables from external partners.
• Lead business process optimization projects in direct coordination with the Robotic Process Automation (RPA) team to streamline enterprise workflows.
• Define and align project roles, responsibilities, and milestones across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Establish, track, and maintain rigorous project timelines, budget estimates, and comprehensive status reports.
• Author and execute comprehensive management plans, stakeholder communication strategies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for technical duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher, preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in technical project management or management consulting, preferably within a federal or military environment.
• Proven hands-on experience utilizing Power BI and/or Tableau to synthesize data and generate executive-ready dashboards.
• Working knowledge of business process automation (RPA) tools and methodologies.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to present complex technical concepts clearly to senior leadership and external partners.
• Analytical, computer, math and problem-solving skills to be able to use software and to explain the software.
• Strong structural organizational skills with a proven track record of managing technical projects from initiation through closure.
