Job summary
Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN) seeks a Senior Structural Engineer / Technical Leader to join its Facilities and Water/Wastewater Structures practice.
This role will act as a technical lead for municipal water and wastewater projects, providing design leadership for reinforced concrete, structural steel, and foundations while mentoring junior engineers. The ideal candidate is a licensed PE with 10+ years in water/wastewater infrastructure, excellent communication, and experience
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas or ability to obtain Texas PE within six months.
- Minimum 10+ years of structural engineering experience.
- Significant experience in water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Experience with reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry, and foundations per industry codes.
Responsibilities
- Lead structural design efforts for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Serve as Technical Lead or Engineer of Record on assigned projects.
- Perform structural analysis and design of concrete, steel, masonry, and foundations.
- Develop plans, specifications, reports, and calculations.
- Coordinate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams.
- Support proposals, client interactions, and quality control.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide staff development.
