Halff Associates, Inc. is seeking a Technical Leader in Texas or Florida with a civil engineering background focused on Water/Wastewater. You will lead and deliver Water/Wastewater Utility projects, mentor staff, and engage in business development and client interactions.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree, 10+ years of Water/Wastewater experience, and a PE license (Florida preferred or obtainable). Ownership potential and career growth are emphasized in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 10 years of experience to support Water/Wastewater Utility projects including facility design and planning.
• Licensed PE, preferably in Florida or able to obtain; Water/Wastewater treatment experience a plus.
• Responsible for business development, production, mentoring of staff, and strong written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage Water/Wastewater Utility projects or coordinate tasks of moderate size and complexity.
• Perform business development, manage budgets, personnel, schedules, subconsultants, and client interaction.
• Support operations managers and practice leaders in pursuit of Water/Wastewater opportunities.

What you will do:

• The successful candidate should have experience managing Water/Wastewater Utility projects or coordinating tasks of moderate size and complexity, make decisions independently and resolve complex problems

In addition to project delivery responsibilities:

• Candidates must be able to perform business development, manage budgets, personnel, schedules, subconsultants, and client interaction
• Must also have the ability to support operations managers and practice leaders in business development and pursuit of Water/Wastewater Utility opportunities

What you will need:

• Bachelor or Masters degree in Civil Engineering
• 10 years of experience to support Water/Wastewater Utility projects including facility design and planning Water and Wastewater System planning and design and hydraulic modeling of water and wastewater systems. Licensed PE, preferably in Florida or can obtain immediately Water/Wastewater treatment experience, is a plus
• Responsible for business development, production, mentoring of young staff and possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must be self-directed yet a team player, and have focus on quality, integrity and success
