Job summary

Huntington Bank is seeking a Technical Lead, Software Developer to provide high-impact technical leadership in solving complex data, hardware, software and process initiatives at our Easton Oval office in Columbus, OH.

The role requires 7 years of hands-on OOP software development, 1+ year in a technical lead capacity, and experience with Java, Python, SQL, Spring Boot and cloud platforms. You will mentor teammates and drive cross-functional projects to success.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of equivalent software development experience.
• 7+ years of hands-on object oriented software development experience.
• At least 1 year of technical lead experience coaching others.

Responsibilities

• Provides strategic technical leadership and ownership on the most complex technical matters.
• Analyzes, designs, and develops systems based upon identified user specifications.
• Provides technical leadership in solving highly complex data, hardware, software or process problems.
• May address problems of systems integration, compatibility and multiple platforms.
• Expected to proactively identify areas of opportunity and/or risk and to drive their ultimate resolution.
• Possesses across the board knowledge of the Huntington technical environment and how the various systems are interconnected.
• Maintains and demonstrates knowledge of technical industry trends, particularly as they apply to Huntington.
• Expected to coach and mentor others on direct team, and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
• Serves as project leader for specific projects, which are highly complex and strategic in nature.

Summary:

The Technical Lead, Software Developer will be a highly skilled professional who will provide technical leadership in solving highly complex data, hardware, software or process initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides strategic technical and consultative leadership and ownership on the most complex technical matters.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or 4 additional years of equivalent experience in Software Development.
• 7 years of hand-on software development OOP experience.
• 1 years of technical lead experience, coaching/mentoring others.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with Java, Python, and SQL.
• 2 years of experience working with Springboot, or microservice architecture.
• Experience working in multi-cloud environments, AWS & Google Cloud Platform.
• Technical knowledge of ETL/ELT lifecycle.
• Strong communication skills & ability to connect teams towards common goals.
