BRAINS WORKGROUP, INC. is seeking a Technical Lead for Transaction Monitoring in New York City.

The role drives end-to-end solutions on the Quantexa platform, translating business needs into scalable, secure data products with hands-on technical leadership across architecture, development, and release management. You will mentor engineers, implement best practices, and ensure reliable production deployments while collaborating with business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience developing technical solutions.
• Experience with modern development tools and processes (e.g., Git, Gradle, Nexus) and automation/DevOps technologies (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Bash scripting).
• Experience building and deploying production-level data processing systems with a focus on operational stability.
• Strong understanding of data analytics, entity resolution, and network generation concepts.
• Proficiency in programming languages, particularly Scala, and familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
• Azure (preferred) experience supporting CI/CD and release automation (e.g., Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions), including environment configuration, deployment pipelines, secrets/permissions basics, and infrastructure-as-code exposure.
• Understanding of testing frameworks and the ability to write unit and integration tests using libraries such as ScalaTest.
• Experience with data integration, ETL processes, and API development.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Our client, a major bank in New York City, is looking for Technical Lead - Transaction Monitoring with Scala experience.

New York City Location.

This is hybrid commute, 5 days per 2 weeks in the office.

Salary range 160-180K, plus around 20% bonus, plus great benefits package.

Technical Lead - Transaction Monitoring

In this role you will drive end-to-end delivery of transaction monitoring solutions on the Quantexa platform, translating business needs into scalable, secure, and high-performing data and analytics products. This role provides hands-on technical leadership across architecture, integration, development, testing, and release management, partnering closely with business and engineering stakeholders. You will mentor team members, establish engineering best practices, and ensure reliable production deployments.
