Technical Lead – Salesforce Solutions (Life Sciences)
Location: Remote (Eastern Time Zone preferred)
Key Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements into hands-on Salesforce technical designs and implementations across Marketing Cloud, Health Cloud, Sales Cloud, and the emerging Life Sciences Cloud.
- Design and execution of HCP vs Patient campaigns and Branded vs Unbranded initiatives in compliance with pharma regulations.
- Evaluate solution options and make recommendations to optimize scalability, compliance, cost, and maintainability.
- Ensure seamless integration between Salesforce clouds and external systems (third-party data vendors, MDM, consent management and agencies).
- Lead technical design reviews, code reviews, and QA checks to maintain delivery quality.
- Establish and enforce best practices for Salesforce configuration, development, deployment, performance and monitoring.
- Ensure all deliverables align with client expectations, regulatory requirements, and Conexus quality and data management standards.
- Partner with Business Analysts and Project Managers to validate requirements, estimate effort and align delivery scope.
- Provide technical mentorship to developers and junior consultants.
- Act as the escalation point for technical challenges during delivery and ongoing support.
- Collaborate with project managers to align scope, effort estimates, timelines, and resources.
- Participate in client workshops and support presales/scoping with technical input.
- Present technical solution options in business-friendly terms.
- Build trusted advisor relationships with client stakeholders through consultative engagement, which may require occasional onsite client visits.
- Stay current on the Salesforce roadmap and proactively propose adoption strategies (Life Science Cloud, AI/Einstein, data cloud).
- Ensure that all project and delivery documentation is maintained by the team, including the Information Security Management System (ISMS) documentation related to the practice.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of Salesforce experience, with a focus on Marketing Cloud and Health Cloud. Awareness of Life Sciences Cloud is a strong plus.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Strong technical expertise in AMPscript, SQL, SSJS, Apex, and Lightning Web Components.
- Experience with Marketing Cloud Connect and API integrations.
- Strong background in data modeling and system integrations across Salesforce clouds and related systems.
- Proven experience as a technical lead or solution architect in a consulting, SI, or enterprise environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical solutions in business terms, written and verbally during meetings.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to balance innovation with efficiency.
- Experience working with pharmaceutical or life sciences clients, including regulatory or compliance-driven environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce certifications: Marketing Cloud Consultant/Developer, Health Cloud Accredited Professional, or Salesforce Application/Solution Architect.
- Knowledge of integration/middleware (MuleSoft, Informatica, AWS, Snowflake/Datawarehouse).
- Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies and DevOps pipelines (CI/CD, release management, test automation).
