The Role

The Technical Lead at OneRail guides engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. This role involves overseeing design work, managing team performance, ensuring code quality, and driving successful releases.

Responsibilities:

• Guide the team in architectural design and technical decision-making.
• Mentor and support senior developers to foster their growth.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Facilitate collaboration and resolve conflicts within the team.
• Manage code reviews, ensuring adherence to standards and best practices.
• Oversee the release process, ensuring features are thoroughly tested and ready for production.
• Align team efforts with strategic goals and performance metrics.
• Maintain system documentation and facilitate knowledge sharing.
• Identify and implement process improvements within the SDLC.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience, with leadership roles.
• Strong technical expertise in backend development, especially with Node.JS and Typescript.
• Strong database skills.
• Proven ability to mentor and lead engineering teams.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing software releases and code quality processes.

Skills:

• Proficiency in backend technologies: Node.js, TypeScript.
• Frontend skills: React, CSS, Webpack.
• Cloud infrastructure management with Azure services.
• Containerization using Docker.
• Automated testing frameworks: Jest, Mocha, Cypress.
