Job summary

Xcimer Energy is seeking a Technical Lead Manager for Power Electronics & EMI/EMC to lead a key engineering team at our Denver, CO headquarters. You will shape the technology roadmap for high‑voltage power supplies, DC‑DC converters, and EMI/EMC compliant PCB design, while driving standards and best practices across the group.

The role requires >10 years of relevant experience, MS EE or higher, and proven PM/technical leadership.

Qualifications

  • M.S.E.E. or higher is required.
  • 10+ years of engineering leadership in power electronics/EMI/EMC.
  • Experience with EMI/EMC standards (IEC 61000-4, MIL-STD-461).
  • Strong project and functional management experience.
  • Proficiency with LTSpice and electromagnetic modeling tools.
  • Proficient in Python or MATLAB; strong engineering analytics.
  • U.S. citizenship, permanent resident, or eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Experience with Jira or MS Projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership over the Power Electronics & EMI/EMC sub-department.
  • Provide functional management to team members within the sub-department.
  • Develop the technology roadmap for power electronics at Xcimer.

This is a full-time, onsite role based at our headquarters in Denver, CO.

As the Technical Lead Manager for Power Electronics & EMI/EMC, you will apply your skills to technical and functional leadership of a team of individuals working to develop and mature the state of power electronics at Xcimer. We are looking for our Technical Lead Manager for Power Electronics & EMI/EMC to apply their technical expertise, problem solving skills, and dedication to quality to positively impact the future of energy!

  • Technical leadership over the Power Electronics & EMI/EMC sub-department within Pulsed Power Engineering
  • Functional management over individuals within the Power Electronics & EMI/EMC sub-department within Pulsed Power Engineering
  • Development of a technology roadmap for power electronics at Xcimer. Including high-voltage power supplies, DC-DC converters, and EMI/EMC compliant PCB design.
  • Development of standards, specifications, requirements and best-practices for power electronics and EMI/EMC for Xcimer.
  • Education: M.S.E.E. or greater
  • Experience: >>10 years
  • Project management, functional management, experience with EMI/EMC specifications/standards/design, expert knowledge of power supply design, PCB layout and EMI/EMC compliant design.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee of granted asylum
  • LTSPice or similar circuit modeling software
  • Experience with electromagnetic modelling via Ansys, COMSOL, CST, or equivalent software
  • Knowledge of electromagnetic fields, as well as their associated interactions and diagnostics
  • Python or MatLAB programming skills
  • Experience with project management software such as Jira, Microsoft Projects, etc…
  • Experience interpreting and implementing EMI/EMC commercial or military standards (e.g. IEC 61000-4, MIL-STD-461 etc…)
