Overview
The Technical Lead / Lead Developer is responsible for leading a development team and delivering scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Couchbase, and MS SQL Server.
The role includes hands-on development, architectural decision-making, and ensuring code quality, performance, and security.
This position collaborates with cross-functional teams, supports Agile delivery, and drives best practices across development activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of developers, ensuring adherence to coding standards and development best practices.
- Drive architectural decisions to support scalable, secure, and maintainable applications.
- Design and develop RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build and maintain responsive front-end applications using Angular and integrate them with backend services.
- Architect and deploy microservices on OpenShift and manage containerized environments.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines to support automated builds and deployments.
- Design and optimize relational schemas in MS SQL Server and document models in Couchbase.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, QA teams, and DevOps to deliver high-quality software.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and ensure timely completion of sprint deliverables.
- Conduct code reviews and enforce secure coding practices and enterprise standards.
- Integrate secure API development practices including OAuth2.0 and JWT.
- Support cross-functional coordination and stakeholder communication throughout development cycles.
Required Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Angular.
- Hands-on experience with Couchbase and MS SQL Server.
- Expertise in RESTful API design and microservices architecture.
- Experience deploying applications on OpenShift or similar container platforms.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
- Experience with Git and code quality tools such as SonarQube.
- Knowledge of secure API development including OAuth2.0 and JWT.
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage project deliverables.
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder management abilities.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of software development experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in enterprise-level environments with large-scale systems.
- Exposure to cloud-native development and modernization initiatives.
