Qualifications

• ≥6 years designing or implementing automation and infrastructure in labs or similar environments.
• Hands-on with IoT edge gateways, protocol converters, time-series data and high-frequency ingestion.
• Familiar with BACnet, Modbus, MQTT, OPC UA, or LoRaWAN.
• Experience applying AI/ML or analytics on time-series telemetry for maintenance or anomaly detection.
• Proficient in Python, C/C++, Node.js, or Go.
• Experience with AWS IoT Core, Azure IoT Hub, or Google Cloud IoT services.
• Integrates CMMS/ERP/EDMS with IoT or smart infrastructure platforms.
• Knowledge of IT/OT security convergence, network isolation, Purdue Model, and Zero Trust.

Description du poste

• We are seeking a hands-on Technical Lead to design and deliver advanced IoT, automation, and smart infrastructure solutions across specialized technical facilities and corporate environments.
• This role will work at the intersection of IT, operational technology (OT), facilities engineering, and external technology partners to develop secure, scalable, and reliable edge-to-cloud solutions. The ideal candidate brings strong technical architecture experience, industrial IoT expertise, cloud integration capabilities, and a solid understanding of mission-critical environments

Required Skills:

• 6+ years of experience designing or implementing automation and technical infrastructure solutions in research laboratories, life sciences, pharmaceutical facilities, cleanrooms, or similar specialized environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with IoT edge gateways, industrial protocol converters, time-series data management, and high-frequency sensor data ingestion.
• Practical experience with protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, MQTT, OPC UA, and/or LoRaWAN.
• Experience implementing AI/ML or predictive analytics solutions using time-series telemetry for predictive maintenance or anomaly detection.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, C/C++, Node.js, or Go.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS IoT Core, Azure IoT Hub, or Google Cloud.
• Experience integrating enterprise systems such as CMMS, ERP, and EDMS with IoT or smart infrastructure platforms.
• Knowledge of operational safety and environmental requirements, including ventilation, air changes per hour (ACH), differential pressure, and containment principles.
• Understanding of IT/OT security convergence, network isolation, VLANs, the Purdue Model, and Zero Trust architecture.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across engineering, operations, IT security, and external vendor teams.
