Job description

Akkodis is seeking a Technical Lead within Backend Development and AEM for a fully remote role. The Technical Lead will provide strategic direction and day-to-day leadership to a cross-functional technology team of developers, architects, and QA engineers. Qualified candidates will have 12+ years of software development experience, 4+ years of leadership experience, along with skills in some of the following technologies: Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and backend technologies such asNode.js, Java, .NET, Python, or equivalent.

Salary Range: $85-95 per hour; salary negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors

Technical Leadjob responsibilities include:

  • Client Engagement: Act as the primary technical contact for key clients. Lead technical discussions, provide expert consultation, and translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions.

  • Project Oversight: Oversee the full software development lifecycle—from discovery and design to deployment and support. Ensure high-quality code delivery and adherence to timelines.

  • UI/UX Collaboration: Partner with UI/UX teams to assess implementation feasibility, address design constraints, and ensure seamless integration between design and development.

  • Backend System Integration: Guide backend architecture decisions and ensure optimal performance, scalability, and security across all services and APIs.

  • Process Improvement: Implement and refine development processes, coding standards, and best practices to optimize productivity and quality.

  • Mentorship: Foster a culture of learning and growth. Provide mentorship and performance guidance to engineering team members.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 12+ years of overall software development experience.

  • 4+ years in a leadership or director-level technology role.

  • Proven experience managing and mentoring technical teams of 10–15 members.

  • Strong background in client consulting and stakeholder communication.

  • Hands-on expertise with backend technologies such asNode.js, Java, .NET, Python, or equivalent.

  • Strong understanding of front-end technologies and frameworks, includingReactandHTML5/CSS3/JavaScript.

  • Experience working withAdobe Experience Manager (AEM), including integration with custom components and backend systems.

  • Proven ability to collaborate with UI/UX teams to translate design into high-performance, responsive interfaces.

  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment; proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Pay Details: $85.00 to $95.00 per hour
