Job summary

NextPath Workforce Solutions seeks a Technical Lead - AI & Analytics to join our client’s team in Tampa, FL. This is an onsite, direct hire position with a salary of $180,000–$200,000 depending on experience.

You will lead data science and data engineering teams, own the end-to-end ML lifecycle, and architect scalable data pipelines using Azure, Databricks, Fabric, and Airflow. Hands-on leadership is required to drive cross-functional collaboration and enterprise AI initiatives.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of technical leadership of Data Science & Data Engineering teams.
• Proven experience with Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
• Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, OneLake, Data Factory, Semantic Models).
• Extensive experience with Databricks.
• Proficiency in Python (expert level).
• Strong knowledge of Spark/PySpark.
• Skilled in ETL/ELT architecture.
• Understanding of ML model lifecycle, deployment, and architecture.
• Experience with Data Warehousing & Medallion Architecture.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and Git.
• Hands-on leadership—not just management; lead cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated experience building enterprise AI/ML applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of 5–10 Data Scientists and Data Engineers.
• Oversee end-to-end machine learning lifecycle, including feature engineering, model design, training, and deployment.
• Architect and develop scalable, enterprise-grade data pipelines using Azure, Databricks, Airflow, and Microsoft Fabric.
• Design scalable ML models and predictive analytics solutions.
• Set engineering standards for ETL/ELT processes, data governance, and security.
• Manage stakeholder communication regarding project progress, risks, and trade-offs.
• Lead Agile ceremonies and technical planning sessions.
• Evaluate emerging AI/ML technologies to enhance platform capabilities.
• Support recruitment and onboarding of technical talent.
