Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services seeks a senior Data Platform Architect in the United States to lead modernization efforts for enterprise data platforms and cloud transformations. You will drive architecture, define target states, and guide technology selection across cloud-native and open-source solutions.

Role requires hands-on leadership, strong workshop facilitation, and collaboration with stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure data ecosystems and modernization roadmaps.

• Modern Data Lakehouse Architectures and real-time data integration.
• Strong communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.
• Translate business requirements into technical capabilities, architecture artifacts, and roadmaps.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on leadership for Enterprise Data Platform Modernization initiatives, including current-state assessments, architecture transformation, migration planning, and modernization roadmaps.
• Lead customer workshops to understand business requirements, use cases, pain points, and future-state needs.
• Define Target State and Transition State Architectures for enterprise-scale data and analytics platforms.
• Lead architecture blueprinting, solution definition, and technology evaluation.
• Translate business requirements into technical capabilities, architecture artifacts, and implementation roadmaps.
• Drive technology selection and evaluation across cloud-native, open-source, and commercial platforms.
• Develop implementation strategies, effort estimates, infra sizing and cost models.
• Define data platform operating models, engineering practices, architecture standards, and governance frameworks.
• Guidance on scalability, performance, security, reliability and operational excellence.
• Design modern data integration architectures, including CDC and event-streaming platforms.
• Apply Data Mesh and domain-oriented architecture principles to enable scalable, decentralized data ecosystems.
• Evaluate and recommend open-source technologies for enterprise adoption.
• Provide architectural guidance on Modern Data Platforms, AI, and Generative AI.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, architects, and engineering teams throughout the engagement lifecycle.
