BMW Group in Ontario, CA invites a Technical Instructor/Developer to build and maintain technical training curriculum for customers across user levels and BMW products. You will sponsor courses within the development team and help specify content while updating material to reflect diagnostic changes (ISPi).

The role covers planning and delivering training programs—classroom, e-learning, multimedia—and evaluating effectiveness to continually raise technical expertise and presentation skills.

Competenze

• An associate degree in automotive technology or related post-secondary certificate is required.
• BMW Master technician or OEM Master technician (A1-A8) – or ASE Master technician.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering acceptable in lieu of the above.
• 5+ years of experience in automotive technical fields if degree is held (BMW Master tech; instructor; product engineering; service engineering).
• 7+ years of experience in OEM/Aftermarket technical trainer or related roles if no degree is held.

• Develop and maintain technical training curriculum for customers, ensuring it addresses all user levels and company products/services.
• Act as an active course sponsor within the development team and collaborate on course content specifications.
• Update and redevelop courses based on diagnostic changes (ISPi) and assess customer needs for future training.
• Prepare and organize training materials, including vehicles, engines, body shells, and other instructional assets.
• Ensure quality and consistency of course content throughout its lifecycle and enhance instructional delivery methods.
• Plan and deliver training programs, including classroom sessions, e-learning, multimedia, and computer-aided instruction.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and provide feedback while continually improving technical expertise and presentation skills.

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING.

• Associate degree in automotive technology or post-secondary certificate
• BMW Master technician, or equivalent OEM Master technician, or ASE Master technician (A1-A8)
• Will accept bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering in lieu of the above education requirements

If candidate has associate degree in automotive technology or post-secondary or certificate or bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, then 5+ years required in any of the following fields:

• BMW Master tech, or OEM equivalent.
• Automotive technical instructor
• OEM or Aftermarket automotive product engineering
• OEM or Aftermarket automotive service engineering

If candidate does not have associate degree or post-secondary certificate or bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering mentioned above, then 7+ years’ experience in any of the following fields:

• OEM/Aftermarket Technical trainer.
• ASE Master technician (ASE B2-B6) or I-CAR Platinum technician.
• OEM or Aftermarket automotive product engineering

Relocation is available for this position.

The expected salary range for this position is $57,900.00 - $125,000.00.

The selected candidate’s education, skills, experience, and location will be used to determine the final salary offer. All pay ranges are based on a full-time work schedule. This statement is in accordance with state and local pay disclosure requirements.
