Job summary

Orchard LLC in Port Hueneme, CA, seeks a Technical Instructor to support the Navy Seabee mission at NCTC. Deliver training in Crew Leader, Project Supervisor, Planning & Estimating, and Construction Inspector courses.

You will prepare lesson plans, use CETARS, assess progress, and ensure safety; requires a Secret clearance and 5 years teaching at a Military Training Center, construction-focused, with 9502 or 805A NEC.

Qualifications

• Current Secret Clearance or ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
• Experience equivalent to five (5) years teaching at a Military Training Center, specifically construction-related courses.
• Possess a 9502 and/or an 805A NEC.

Responsibilities

• Provide proper guidance to safely manipulate, position, or transport heavy material, tools, or equipment.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress in all classes taught, ensuring competency for the topic.
• Prepare and administer formal and informal tests or quizzes for curriculum execution.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of courses and materials.
• Prepare daily lesson plans for assigned courses within the course phase framework.
• Use CETARS to facilitate training.

Technical Instructor for Construction Management Continuum Training (CMCT) School Ventura Co., California (Port Hueneme Naval Base)@Orchard LLC is seeking a Technical Instructor supporting the Navy Seabee mission at the Naval Construction Training Center (NCTC) in Port Hueneme, California. You will be tasked with delivering training in the areas of Crew Leader Course, Project Supervisor, Planning & Estimating, and Construction Inspector course.

Roles and Responsibilities:

As a Construction Management Continuum Training Instructor, you will be laying the skills and knowledge foundation for future Seabees. Duties as an instructor can vary but typically will include the following:

• Present material in accordance with approved lesson plans and course control documents.
• Provide proper guidance to safely manipulate, position, or transport heavy material, tools, or equipment.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress in all classes taught, ensuring that students' level of competence is suitable for the required topic of instruction.
• Prepare and administer formal and informal tests or quizzes for curriculum execution.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of courses and materials covering a wide variety of topics in the designated curriculum.
• Prepare daily lesson plans for assigned courses while working within the prescribed course phase framework.
• Use computer programs to facilitate training, specifically the Corporate Enterprise Training Activity Resource System (CETARS).

Your experience and qualifications will include:

• Current Secret Clearance or Ability to Obtain a Secret Clearance.
• Experience equivalent to five (5) years teaching at a Military Training Center, specifically construction-related courses.
• Possess a 9502 and/or an 805A NEC.

Compensation will be determined based on your skills, experience, and qualifications. The anticipated annual salary range for this role is $60-70K
