Job summary

Bastion is seeking a Technical Inspector to support projects in New Orleans, LA. The role centers on visual and dimensional inspection of electronic and mechanical assemblies, using measuring tools and blueprints to ensure quality.

The position is onsite with potential travel; candidates must be eligible for a secret clearance and US citizenship, with a bachelor’s degree or 7+ years of related experience. SAP/VECAMS experience is required.

Qualifications

Requires a Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one.
U.S. citizen required.
Bachelor's degree required.
3+ years of related work experience required.
In lieu of degree: 7+ years of related experience will be considered.
Inspection experience with scale/micrometer and torque tools.
Experience with SAP/VECAMS.

Responsibilities

Visually inspect in-process and completed products such as electronic units and subsystems, precision electromechanical assemblies or mechanical units, subassemblies, structural flaws, internal defects, and missing welds.
Use various measuring devices to verify conformance to specifications.
Accept, reject, or rework defective or malfunctioning units or systems.
Work from blueprints, diagrams, dial indicators, micrometers, scales, fixtures, and inspection instructions.
May monitor and verify quality using statistical process or other control procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
