Job Description

Amazon has an immediate opening for a Technical Infrastructure Program Manager to support ADC Network Deployment growth initiatives. The TIPM will lead cross-functional teams to drive the implementation and deployment of designs, develop and document requirements, budgets, and project schedules.

The ideal candidate possesses 3+ years in technical program management, with experience managing complex, large-scale technology projects. Experience in networking projects and data center rollouts is essential. A Bachelor's degree is required, along with demonstrated leadership in a technical environment. Ability to deliver project outcomes while managing multiple priorities is crucial. Proficiency in MS Office, MS Excel + Access, MS SharePoint, and project management methodologies is expected.

The candidate must be an excellent communicator, capable of leading multi-disciplinary, highly technical projects. Experience with data center networking technologies, software delivery, operating systems, server virtualization, and automation tools is preferred. The role involves managing remote teams, facilitating technical whiteboard sessions, troubleshooting, and removing barriers to success. The candidate should be a self-starter with a proactive attitude, able to make independent decisions, and proficient in project management tools across all project phases.

This position requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive programs deploying AWS networking infrastructure in data centers and transit centers to meet customer demand.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects/programs globally.
  • Collaborate with network engineers, data center technicians, software engineers, security teams, deployment managers, and senior management.
  • Participate in network design reviews.
  • Lead meetings, create and maintain timelines, and keep stakeholders informed.
  • Work with engineers to develop solutions for complex problems, managing timelines and costs.
About The Team

The team is responsible for scaling data center networks in Amazon Dedicated Cloud regions.

Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Experience with infrastructure builds.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of technical program management experience in related industries.
  • Deep knowledge of networking and data center infrastructure.
  • Experience managing complex technology projects.
  • Familiarity with multiple project management methodologies.
  • Knowledge of AWS products is a plus.
  • Certifications such as PMP and Scrum are preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Project, MS Office, MS Excel, MS Access, and MS SharePoint.
