Description

Amazon has an immediate opening for a Technical Infrastructure Program Manager to support ADC Network Deployment growth initiatives. The TIPM will lead cross-functional teams to drive the implementation and deployment of designs, develop and document requirements, budgets, and project schedules.

The ideal candidate possesses 3+ years in technical program management, with experience managing complex, large-scale technology projects. Experience in networking projects and data center rollouts is essential. A Bachelor's degree is required, along with demonstrated leadership in a technical environment. Ability to deliver project outcomes while managing multiple priorities is crucial. Proficiency with MS Office, Excel, Access, SharePoint, and project management methodologies is also required.

The candidate should be an excellent communicator, capable of leading multi-disciplinary, technical initiatives. Experience with data center networking, software delivery, operating systems, server virtualization, and automation tools is preferred. Comfort in managing remote teams, facilitating technical whiteboard sessions, and troubleshooting implementation issues is essential. The role demands a self-starter attitude, decision-making independence, and expertise in project management throughout all project phases.

Key responsibilities include:

• Driving programs deploying AWS networking infrastructure in data centers and transit centers to meet customer demand.
• Managing multiple cross-organizational projects on a global scale.
• Collaborating with network engineers, data center technicians, software engineers, security teams, and senior management.
• Participating in network design reviews.
• Leading meetings, maintaining timelines, and informing stakeholders of progress and obstacles.
• Developing detailed solutions for complex problems, monitoring timelines and costs.

About The Team

The team is responsible for scaling data center networks in Amazon Dedicated Cloud regions.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience.
• Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies related to infrastructure.
• Experience with infrastructure builds.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of technical program management experience.
• Deep knowledge of networking and data center infrastructure.
• Experience managing complex infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with AWS products and project management methodologies.
• PMP and Scrum certifications are a plus.
• Proficiency with MS Project, Office, Excel, Access, SharePoint.
