Job summary

Epic Games is seeking a Technical Game Director to lead a multi-platform systems design effort using Unreal Engine to bring LEGO gameplay to life. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in design leadership and hands-on system design for diverse game types.

You will collaborate with programming, art, product, and marketing teams to evolve the game and delight players daily through robust, replayable systems. This role is open to multiple North American locations.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience shipping multiple titles in design leadership or technical implementer roles.
  • Hands-on experience with systemic design and multi‑platform gameplay considerations.
  • Experience with Unreal Engine systems and Blueprints for prototyping and tuning designs.
  • Strong interest in LEGO brand, lifestyle games, and mobile gaming.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a multi-platform systems design effort using Unreal Engine capabilities.
  • Create industry-leading mechanics and content systems for cadence-based engagement.
  • Test ideas through rapid prototyping with programming and art teams.
  • Develop extensible game paradigms for long-term ROI and replayability.
  • Communicate a compelling vision to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with product/marketing/community teams.
