Job summary

Epic Games is seeking a Technical Game Director to lead a multi-platform systems design effort using Unreal Engine to bring LEGO gameplay to life. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building systemic design and on-thread game content across titles and platforms.

You will collaborate with programming, art, product and marketing teams to shape a playable vision, prototype rapidly, and ensure a robust, replayable system that resonates with players and partners alike.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience shipping multiple titles as a hands-on systems designer, design leader, and technical implementer.
  • Experience designing building-based systems and rules integrations to recreate physical play through digital experiences.
  • Hands-on experience with Unreal Engine systems, like Blueprints for prototyping and tuning designs.
  • Strong interest in the LEGO brand, lifestyle games, and player-first mobile gaming.

What You'll Do

Epic Games is looking for a Technical Game Director to lead a multi-platform systems design effort using Unreal Engine’s capabilities to bring LEGO gameplay to life. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with a range of game types matched by equal expertise in creating traditional game depth through systemic design.

Pay Transparency Information

The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren’t limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic’s generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).

British Columbia Base Pay Range $179,686 — $263,539 CAD
