Bosch is seeking a Technical Functions/Maintenance Intern / Co-op for Spring 2027. You will support maintenance operations by managing spare parts inventory, supporting procurement, and optimizing stock levels to maximize equipment uptime.

The role emphasizes learning CMMS/ERP systems, performing cycle counts, and driving continuous improvements in storeroom organization and processes to enhance plant reliability.

Qualificações

• Currently enrolled in a technical degree program.
• Basic computer skills with strong emphasis on Excel, data entry in Excel.
• Willingness to learn CMMS/ERP systems and inventory management.
• Preference for candidates with maintenance parts knowledge.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain accurate inventory of spare parts, tools, and consumables.
• Perform cycle counts and investigate discrepancies to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment to ensure critical parts availability.
• Maintain 5S organization, labeling and storeroom standards.
• Generate purchase requisitions and track orders in CMMS/ERP.
• Issue parts against work orders in CMMS and maintain data in ERP/CMMS.
• Analyze inventory usage trends and identify optimization opportunities to reduce costs.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in inventory management and process efficiency.
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, purchasing and operations to support uptime.

The Technical Engineering Function intern manages and optimizes maintenance spare parts inventory and consumable supplies to ensure maximum equipment uptime and operational efficiency. This role supports maintenance operations through accurate inventory management, timely procurement, stock level optimization, and parts availability while driving continuous improvement initiatives aligned with TPM, Lean Manufacturing, and cost reduction objectives. The position is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, minimizing stockouts and excess inventory, supporting preventive maintenance activities, and improving storeroom organization and processes to enhance overall plant reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory of spare parts, tools, and consumable supplies
• Perform cycle counts, investigate inventory discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to maintain inventory accuracy
• Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment activities to ensure critical parts availability while minimizing excess inventory
• Maintain proper labeling, storage, and 5S organization standards within the storeroom
• Generate purchase requisitions and track orders
• Issue parts against work orders in CMMS
• Maintain accurate inventory, purchasing, and asset data within ERP and CMMS systems
• Analyze inventory usage trends, identify optimization opportunities, reduce costs, and develop/report KPIs
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory management, storeroom organization, and process efficiency
• Ensure compliance with safety and EHS requirements
• Manage obsolete and slow-moving inventory while identifying opportunities for cost savings and inventory reduction
• Support TPM initiatives through effective spare parts management
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, purchasing, and operations teams to support equipment uptime and plant performance
  

• Currently enrolled in a technical degree program.
• Basic computer skills are required, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Excel knowledge. The majority of the day-to-day activities in this role include data entry and management done within Excel.
• Interest and ability to learn CMMS/ERP systems, inventory management.
• Prefer candidates with maintenance parts knowledge.
