Job summary

CARSON SOLUTIONS LLC seeks an experienced storage engineer in Annapolis Junction, MD to support virtualization and cloud storage initiatives. The role requires active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph and US citizenship, with hands-on work across SAN/NFS, GPFS, Lustre, and data protection systems.

You will configure and tune storage subsystems for VMware, Hadoop, and SGI IRIX environments, manage ServiceNow tickets, and participate in disaster recovery planning in a large government-grade IT

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance required.
• US citizenship required.
• IAT Level II certification required.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Configure, tune, test, and troubleshoot storage for virtualization products.
• Configure storage for cloud implementations (HADOOP).
• Manage SGI IRIX OS installation, configuration, tuning and administration of storage.
• Operate SGI IRIX and storage systems with FC/SAN storage.
• Work with NFS/CIFS based storage appliances and SAN environments.
• Manage data protection, disaster recovery and replication strategies.
• Triage issues via ServiceNow and coordinate resolutions.

Position requires an active TS/SCI with polygraph level clearance. US citizenship is required.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Configuration, tuning, testing, and advanced level storage troubleshooting in support of virtualization products such as VMware, Xen, and Solaris containers.
• Configuration, tuning, testing, and advanced level storage troubleshooting of cloud-based implementations, such as HADOOP.
• Configuration, tuning, testing, and advanced level storage troubleshooting in support of Red Hat, SUSE, and Solaris Operating Systems, as they relate to file service and FC connectivity.
• Installation, configuration, tuning, troubleshooting, and administration of SGI IRIX based Operating System.
• SGI systems with direct attached and FC SAN attached storage.
• Network Appliance clustered servers with direct attached and FC SAN storage.
• Network Appliance and SGI IRIX supported applications.
• Multivendor clustered filesystems such as GPFS, Lustre.
• SAN Environments: Brocade FC switch network.
• Enterprise class arrays.
• NFS/CIFS based server/storage appliance.
• Data Domain and similar deduplication products.
• Cloud based storage solutions such as HADOOP, and IBM BigInsights.
• Trouble ticket management utilizing ServiceNow.
• Data protection, disaster recovery, and data replication.

Experience

Experience with NetApp, IBM, Hitachi, Rubrik, Cloud Object Storage, Brocade, and Cisco.

IO years of experience (with degree or 1 S without) in a large and complex IT environment providing industry and government recognized functional expertise with the skills listed above.

Requirements

Position requires an active TS/SCI with polygraph level clearance. US citizenship is required.

IAT Level II Certification Required.

Bachelor's degree in technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.

Salary

The likely salary range is up to $225 K. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
