SGL Carbon SE, located in Saint Marys, Pennsylvania, is seeking an engineering professional to assist with quality and continuous improvement systems.
The role involves identifying defects, developing solutions, and leading initiatives that ensure high product quality. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and good communication skills. A competitive benefits package is offered including medical coverage and a 401k plan.
The SGL site in St. Marys, Pennsylvania, is our largest graphite component processing site worldwide. It is characterized by its broad product portfolio and expertise in machined, purified and CVD coated parts used especially in the fast growing LED and semiconductor industries. The site is part of the Business Unit Graphite Solutions.
This position helps to create solutions as part of an engineering team. They work to find defects, determine the causes of those defects and provide solutions to defected problems. This position is responsible to assist and facilitate the development, design and implementation of the quality and continuous improvement systems for the St. Marys facility. Through communication, innovation and knowledge of the carbon/graphite manufacturing process, this position will provide leadership to enable the company to provide its customers a quality product in a timely manner and implement changes that will help reduce cost and improve productivity.
