A technical engineer in the Army plays a critical role in supporting the design, construction, and maintenance of military infrastructure and facilities. Their duties include conducting surveys and creating detailed blueprints and plans for various construction projects, such as buildings, roads, bridges, and airfields. They use advanced computer-aided design (CAD) software to develop precise technical drawings and specifications. Technical engineers are also responsible for performing quality control checks and ensuring that all construction projects adhere to strict military standards and safety regulations. They oversee the installation and maintenance of utilities, such as electrical, water, and sewage systems, ensuring these essential services are operational in both permanent and temporary military bases. Housing & Lodging: Soldiers in this position receive additional compensation for Housing/Lodging Costs for themselves and immediate family members in addition to their salary.
