Role Overview

Partnered with an Account Partner (Services Salesperson), the Technical Architect Director leads pre- and post-sales activities, acting as the technical authority across the portfolio of products. This includes developing and articulating comprehensive implementation proposals, designing technical solutions to customer objectives, and managing project scope, effort, team makeup, and duration. They oversee adoption and consumption of Salesforce technology, build customer relationships, ensure satisfaction, and coordinate service delivery with account leadership. Responsibilities include:

  • Deep understanding of Salesforce solutions and clouds (Federal/Public Sector)
  • Scope Salesforce projects and integrations with other technologies
  • Pre-Sales solutioning with Solution Engineers
  • Bring public sector expertise and perspective
  • Drive better outcomes through platform expertise
  • Create alignment with customer IT departments and partners
  • Ensure project operational compliance
  • Build executive relationships
Qualifications

Required:

  • Reside in the Washington, DC metro area
  • 6-10 years leading integration teams and architecting solutions
  • Degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience conducting technical workshops
  • Experience with services integrations (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Workday)
  • Understanding of infrastructures, SDLC, APIs, security, high-availability, fault-tolerance
  • Ability to work independently and learn quickly
  • Travel up to 50%

Ideal:

  • Proven track record in a matrixed, fast-growing organization
  • Strong customer relationship skills and technical problem-solving
  • Experience in pre-sales, solution sizing, and scoping
  • Salesforce certifications, especially Architect certifications
  • Leadership in enterprise projects and strategic planning
