Job summary

Cohesity is seeking a Technical Education Lab Developer to design, build, automate, and maintain enterprise lab environments that support Cohesity Academy training, certifications, workshops, and technical enablement.

You will collaborate with curriculum developers, product engineering, and cloud teams to create realistic labs across Windows Server, Linux, AD, SQL, and virtualization, using Azure, AWS, VMware, and automation tooling.

Qualifications

• 3+ years designing and managing enterprise infrastructure, virtualization, cloud, or technical lab environments.
• Experience using AI tools to enhance productivity.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong scripting with PowerShell and JSON; Python or Bash a plus.
• Experience administering VMware ESXi/vCenter, Hyper-V, Windows Server, Linux, SQL Server, Oracle Database.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, GPO, VLANs, VPNs, routing, and firewalls.
• Experience with Azure and/or AWS.
• Experience with backup, storage, virtualization, or cyber resilience.
• Git-based repos and CI/CD platforms such as Azure DevOps or GitHub.
• Fast learner and independent problem solver.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and improve enterprise lab environments for Cohesity Academy training, certifications, workshops, and enablement.
• Develop automation and deployment workflows using PowerShell, JSON, Python, IaC, REST APIs, to provision and maintain labs.
• Engineer enterprise infrastructure including Windows Server, Enterprise Linux, AD, DNS, SQL Server, Oracle, networking, storage, virtualization, and cloud services.
• Build, optimize, and support lab environments across Azure, AWS, VMware ESXi/vCenter, Hyper-V.
• Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise applications and infrastructure for lab scenarios.
• Develop and maintain lab templates, reusable components, deployment workflows, and automation frameworks.
• Collaborate with curriculum developers, instructors, engineering, and SMEs to update hands-on labs.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate lab creation and improve scripting efficiency.
• Evaluate automation techniques to improve scalability and learner experience.
• Investigate and resolve complex issues across infra, virtualization, cloud, networks, databases.

As a Technical Education Lab Developer, you'll play a key role in designing, developing, automating, maintaining, and continuously improving enterprise lab environments supporting instructor-led training, virtual instructor-led training, self-paced learning, certifications, and technical workshops. You'll collaborate with curriculum developers, technical instructors, product engineering, technical support, cloud operations, and subject matter experts to build realistic enterprise environments that enable learners around the world to confidently deploy, administer, troubleshoot, and demonstrate Cohesity solutions.

HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE:

• Design, develop, maintain, and continuously improve enterprise lab environments supporting Cohesity Academy training, certifications, workshops, and technical enablement programs.
• Develop automation and deployment workflows using PowerShell, Python, infrastructure-as-code technologies, REST APIs, JSON, or similar technologies to provision, validate, reset, and maintain complex virtual lab environments.
• Engineer enterprise infrastructure environments including Windows Server, Enterprise Linux, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database, networking, storage, virtualization, and cloud services.
• Build, optimize, and support realistic enterprise lab environments utilizing Microsoft Azure, AWS, VMware ESXi/vCenter, Hyper-V, and related enterprise technologies.
• Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise applications, databases, and supporting infrastructure required to simulate real-world customer environments.
• Develop and maintain Skillable lab templates, reusable infrastructure components, deployment workflows, scripts, and automation frameworks that accelerate delivery of new labs.
• Collaborate with curriculum developers, instructors, engineering, technical support, and subject matter experts to rapidly build and update hands-on labs aligned with new product capabilities and releases.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate lab creation, automate repetitive tasks, improve scripting efficiency, and enhance documentation while maintaining quality.
• Continuously evaluate automation techniques and emerging technologies to improve the scalability, consistency, and learner experience of Cohesity Academy labs.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues across enterprise infrastructure, virtualization, cloud services, networking, operating systems, databases, and applications to ensure high-quality, reliable hands-on learning experiences.

WE'D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING:

• 3+ years of proven experience designing, implementing, and managing enterprise infrastructure, virtualization, cloud, or technical lab environments.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support decision making.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong scripting skills with PowerShell/JSON required and experience with Python, Bash, or similar automation languages.
• Experience administering VMware ESXi/vCenter, Hyper-V, Windows Server, Enterprise Linux, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database, or similar enterprise platforms.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, VLANs, VPNs, routing, and firewalls.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Azure and/or AWS cloud environments.
• Experience with enterprise storage, backup, recovery, virtualization, or cyber resilience platforms.
• Experience using Git-based repositories and CI/CD platforms such as Azure DevOps or GitHub.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new enterprise technologies and independently solve complex technical problems.
• Preferred: Experience with Cohesity DataProtect, NetBackup, Skillable, infrastructure automation, and relevant technical certifications.

Pay Range: $69,360.00-$86,700.00

The compensation noted above is based on an annualized hourly rate assuming normal full-time employment.
