Peraton is seeking an Expert Technical Editor to provide mission-critical editorial and production support for a high-visibility IC customer in McLean, VA. The editor refines complex analytic content into accurate, polished products for senior executives, including White House-oriented materials.

The ideal candidate has extensive IC editing experience, strong attention to detail, and can operate independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical editing for analytic products meeting IC standards.
• Review drafts and apply grammar, punctuation, formatting, and style guidance.
• Manage tasks in the customer’s content system and monitor workflow.
• Coordinate iterative editing with authors and stakeholders for strong content.
• Edit and integrate graphics with visual designers and cartographers.
• Work with front office for final product approvals.
• Prepare deliverables in Word and PDF and coordinate dissemination.
• Disseminate, post, and deliver intelligence products per requirements.
• Engage senior officials to align with mission needs.
• Mentor customer personnel to improve writing and production skills.
• Ensure all products adhere to standards, guides, and processes.

Peraton is seeking an Expert Technical Editor to provide mission-critical editorial and production support to a high-visibility customer in McLean, VA. The editor will refine complex analytic content into accurate, polished products for senior executives, including materials supporting White House-oriented requirements. The ideal candidate brings extensive Intelligence Community (IC) editing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced production environment with minimal to no guidance.

The editor will be required to work a staggered, four-day schedule from 10:00am to 8:00pm Eastern Time, remaining on site until products are complete. The editor must also be available for on-call editing and dissemination support as necessitated by world events.

Key Responsibilities of this role include:

• Providing expert technical editingforanalytic products, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with IC standards;
• Reviewing and editing draft materials, applying required grammar, punctuation,formatting, and style guidance to produce publication-ready documents;
• Managing assigned tasks within the customer’s content management system,monitoringworkflow updates, and responding to real-time directionforan Executive Branch-oriented product line;
• Coordinating iterative editing with authors and stakeholders to strengthen content, structure, and messaging;
• Editing and integrating graphics in collaboration withvisualdesignersand cartographersto ensure aligned, cohesive final products;
• Working with front office personnel to obtain final approval on products;
• Preparing final deliverables in Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat PDFdocumentsand coordinating with dissemination officers fortimelydistribution;
• Disseminating, posting, and delivering intelligence products as required by the customer;
• Engaging with senior officials and diverse stakeholders tofacilitateclear communication and alignment with mission requirements;
• Mentoring customer personnel to improve writing, editing, and production skills;
