Job summary

KBR is seeking a Technical Editor for an on-site role in Landover, Maryland. The successful candidate will support document control, proofreading, and formatting across multiple program areas.

The position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance and a Bachelor's in English, Journalism, Communications or related field, with 4 years' experience substitutable for the degree. Proficiency in MS Office and template design is essential.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications or related discipline; 4 years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and ability to create/modify styles, forms and templates.

Responsibilities

• Edit documents to ensure compliance with style, design, layout, specification, and grammar and spelling requirements.
• Edit, format, and maintain documents including, but not limited to program plans, software release notes, system test reports, procedures, design documentation, requirements, user manuals, training materials.
• Collaborate with authors, assigned stakeholders, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gain better understanding of subject matter.
• Conduct quality review of materials and provide peer review of program documents.
