Job summary

Nalley Consulting seeks a Technical Editor for DIA HQ. The role focuses on reviewing intelligence products for grammar, style, and accuracy, ensuring consistent use of standards and domain vocabulary.

You will amend graphics and tables to align with accompanying text and ensure proper classification markings in line with IC guidance. The position requires a Bachelor's degree with 3 years of relevant experience or 7 years in the intelligence field, plus TS/SCI with CI poly or willingness to

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a writer, editor, or intelligence analyst in an IC organization.
• Knowledge of the intelligence community.
• Ability to proofread, edit, and correct text for style and accuracy.
• Experience in producing all-source intelligence analysis and managing the production of analysis products.

Responsibilities

• Reviews intelligence products for proper grammar, punctuation, and syntax, as well as for logic, clarity, and consistency.
• Ensures that style and format conform to agency publication standards and that language presentation is consistent with prescribed style guides and specialized vocabulary of subject matter fields.
• Amends draft tables, tone boxes, and graphics to ensure the content supports and is consistent with the accompanying text.
• Ensures proper classification markings in accordance with IC guidance.
• Works with authors to revise products for narrative organization, and negotiates further revisions as needed.
