ENERCON Services, Inc. is seeking a Technical Editor to join our Environmental Licensing team in the United States. You will refine complex documents for clarity, ensure consistent style and grammar, and manage comment resolutions across project teams.

You will coordinate file configuration and work with management to maintain standards, producing accurate reports with proper references, tables, and lists. Strong editing background and publishing software proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in English, technical communications, or a related field with 3–5 years of experience.
  • Environmental or Nuclear experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of publishing standards and style manuals (e.g., Chicago Manual of Style).
  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, planning and organizational skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite.
  • Proficient with Adobe Suite.
  • Formatting proficiency with MS Word styles.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize workload.
  • Very organized with multi-project scheduling.
  • Experience with diverse technical staff and project management.
  • Adobe FrameMaker experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

As a Technical Editor, your day is a dynamic blend of precision, collaboration and problem-solving. You transform complex documents into clear reports ensuring accuracy, quality and consistency. By managing feedback, organizing files, and working closely with teams, you help drive success, knowing your attention to detail makes a lasting impact.

  • Precision in Editing: Edit technical and complex documents for proper grammar, consistent style, and accurate content. Incorporate review comments; cross-check references, acronyms, figures, and tables; build report elements such as table of contents, acronym lists and reference lists
  • Collaboration & Coordination: Work with all levels of management, project leads, and resource areas to set schedules and expectations. Interact with client representatives to ensure access to file share folders and technical documents
  • Quality & Standards Management: Ensure standards and quality requirements are met. Manage comment resolution for large technical reports, ensuring thoroughness and quality responses
  • File & Configuration Control: Establish or adhere to existing file management systems for configuration control
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Technical Communications, or a scientific discipline with 3 to 5 years of related experience
  • Environmental or Nuclear experience preferred
  • Requires in-depth knowledge of publishing standards and demonstrated expertise working with technical documents and style manuals (e.g., Chicago Manual of Style)
  • Requires excellent oral and written communications skills, strong interpersonal skills, and robust planning and organizational skills
  • Requires proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Requires proficiency with Adobe Suite
  • Requires formatting proficiency capability with MS Word styles
  • Requires the ability to work independently and to prioritize workload
  • Very organized and adept at managing multiple project schedules
  • Experience working with diverse teams of technical staff and project management
  • Adobe FrameMaker experience is preferred
Compensation Range

USD $67,200.00 - USD $100,800.00 /Yr.
