Job summary

Roblox Corporation seeks an IC Technical Director for Content Platform to own the lifecycle of every asset—from creation to delivery and rendering in the game client. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, scale distributed infrastructure, and drive the technical vision for asset management at global scale.

You will partner with product and platform teams to ensure performance, reliability, and safety while balancing cost efficiency and innovation for a community of creators and players

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience building high-impact, consumer-facing applications at scale.
• Deep expertise in backend engineering, distributed systems, and large-scale infrastructure.
• Strong experience working with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the long-term strategy, architecture, and priorities for the Content Platform team, ensuring scalable, high-performance asset management.
• Lead engineering teams in building and maintaining robust, large-scale distributed systems to support creation, upload, storage, indexing, and delivery of all asset types.
• Oversee the operation of Roblox’s largest backend service, handling 100 million+ requests per second, ensuring reliability and cost efficiency at global scale.
• Collaborate with product, infrastructure, and developer platform teams to align engineering initiatives with creator needs and Roblox ecosystem.
• Guide ownership of roadmaps, projects, and outcomes, balancing innovation with operational excellence and safety.
