Job summary

Black & White Engineering, a multi‑award‑winning engineering consultancy, seeks a Technical Director – Civil & Structural to lead NA regional C&S for data center projects. Based in Tampa, you will build a new regional team and set the technical direction across designs, specifications and documents.

You will own project outcomes, manage client relationships, and partner with global offices to share resources, while traveling domestically and internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• PE license is required.
• Experience leading civil or structural engineering teams.
• Experience leading complex civil/structural design and specification, data center/mission-critical preferred.
• Strong knowledge of civil/structural design and codes/standards (OSHA).

Responsibilities

• Lead NA regional C&S design direction and quality across projects.
• Build and mentor a civil/structural engineering team in the region.
• Own project delivery, planning, and cost control.
• Manage client relationships and support business development.
• Collaborate with global offices and travel as needed.
